Welcome to Iver Heath Junior School. I have the great pleasure of being the Headteacher of this thriving school where every child is supported to be the very best they can be. To ensure this is made possible we live by 4 values:
We are ACHIEVERS! , We are a COMMUNITY! ,
We are PROUD!, We are INCLUSIVE!
I strongly believe in an ideas that comes from an old Chinese proverb:
Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right!
With this idea at the core of our philosophy we work to inspire children to develop a growth mindset and the confidence to challenge themselves in all areas of their development. We aim to help children become good and successful citizens of the future. In an environment that promotes confidence, happiness, high academic achievement, good physical health, resilience and strong emotional well-being we support every child to recognise what success looks like for them and work hard to reach it.
Our school is set in spacious grounds which allows us to offer excellent learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom. We offer a wide range of enriching activities outside of the normal school day through our extensive selections of clubs. So whether you want to socialize at breakfast club; be musical in African drumming, ukulele, bell ringing or choir; be creative in our construction club; show your sporting prowess in football, netball, dodgeball, multi-sports, bat and ball club, target club or want to develop green fingers in our gardening club, we can offer it. Plus there is the Energy Kids after school provider who offers extended care arrangements for when busy parents can’t collect children when the end of day bell rings.
The children, staff and governors are very proud to be part of this wonderful community and would welcome your child and family to be part of our school.
“The school’s core values, expressed as, ‘We are achievers, we are a community, we are inclusive, and we are proud’, are evident in all aspects of the school’s work.” (Ofsted February 2018)
“A strong sense of harmony permeates the school. Relationships between adults and pupils are warm and mutually respectful. Pupils take pride in their work. They are friendly, polite and well behaved.” (Ofsted February 2018)
