Disruptive Weather Protocol

Please see our Adverse Weather Conditions Policy in the policies section of this website.

In the case of poor weather, such as snow, ice or extreme weather, the school will consider the health and safety of all pupils and staff before deciding whether to open or close.

In the event of closure, we will aim to make a decision as early as possible.

If school is closed, you will be notified by:

- a text message to the contact held by the school office
- a message on the front page of our website
- a listing on this page: https://closures.buckscc.gov.uk/

In the event that the school needs to close due to extreme weather, we encourage children and families to have fun experiencing an unusual situation; build a snowman, play in the snow; undertake some scientific investigations with the snow. The usual home learning will still be in place; reading, learning spellings & TTRS. Children may also access their Purple Mash accounts and complete any activities on there that inspire them as well as using the links in our Learning Zone on this website.

In the event of poor weather, please check before travelling to ensure that you do not make a meaningless journey and ensure that your contact details are up to date.
